Aesthetic wooden kitchen design.

Award Winning Mt. Gravatt East Kitchen

Located in Brisbane’s South Side suburb of Mount Gravatt East, our client’s home is a traditional postwar cottage overlooking a tree filled backyard.

The new kitchen design boasts an inviting and natural aesthetic and expands along the full length of the original kitchen and lounge space freeing up the central floor area for an expansive island bench.

The cooktop bench is flanked on either side by the fridge & pantry giving easy access to both fresh produce & dried goods from the cooking zone, while crockery, pots, pans & utensils are all located closed to hand under the bench.

The addition of some open shelves in the island softens the transition from the kitchen to the dining & lounge space and gives the client space to store her treasured collection of cookbooks

Carefully planned work zones with a bar area and coffee nook located on either end of the kitchen allow multiple people to freely move around the kitchen while preparation food and engaging with guests comfortable seated in a social arrangement around the island.
